For current ADF serving members your medal mounting will be I.A.W ANP 4426-1203 (Navy personnel), Army Dress Manual (Army personnel) and Air Force Dress Manual (RAAF personnel). All other medal mounting will be I.A.W the Army Dress manual unless you request otherwise. This allows us to use a wider mounting board when mounting 14+ medals so there will be less ribbon overlap and less crowding of medals.

Original medal restoration and cleaning

Medal Mounting Process
We use a 3mm cell cast acrylic perspex to provide a solid backing and ensure long term reliability of the medal rack.
The medals themselves are individually sewn securely to the backing.
We run a leatherette strip along the back to protect the threads and knots from any rubbing and fraying.
We use pin posts mounted through the backing to secure the medal rack to clothing, using either butterfly clasps or jewellery clutches (we provide both for use with different material thicknesses). The pins are closely mounted in the centre to allow you to easily fit the medal rack and fit it straight first time.
Close pin mounting also prevents unnatural pulling of shirts/jackets.
Pin post are our standard mounting option but Brooch bars and magnetic options are also available.
We are confident your medals will be secure when worn and if you encounter any issues with our workmanship we will repair it, no charge.
